Blue Cross Animal Hospital offers a wide range of laboratory services. Our in-house lab enables us to run CBC’s (Complete Blood Count) and Chemistry Profiles with same-day results. CBC’s differentiate the red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets and indicate signs of anemia, possible infections, and platelet clotting issues.
A Chemistry Profile gives us kidney and liver values, electrolytes levels, and blood glucose, in addition to other important blood values related to organ function. With these lab machines, we can also offer preoperative blood panels, helping us to assess anesthetic safety and protocols.

We also utilize an outside lab to run more specific laboratory tests, such as: more extensive blood panels, thyroid levels, cortisol levels, bacterial culture and sensitivity, cytology, and histopathology.
