Kelby, Lead Technician, CVT

Kelby is our Lead Certified Vet Technician and is also a Fear Free Certified Professional working at our clinic. He has one of the longest histories working with Blue Cross Animal Hospital as he’s been an employee for 18 years but certified as a veterinary technician for 15 of those years. He has also held a second job concurrently; including emergency medicine, exotic animal medicine and in a teaching hospital. One of his favorite things about working at Blue Cross is building relationships with all our clients and their beloved pets. He is also passionate about anesthesia, pain control, stress reduction for patient visits and also helping out others with palliative and end of life care.

He has a love for cats, toads, crows, cicadas, bumble bees and honey bees. He likes all animals (including humans!) except mosquitoes and ticks. He also has an 18-year old cat named Barbara Gordon. When he isn’t at work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, taking his kids to parks, table top and video gaming, attending geeky conventions, walking, hiking and rollerblading.
