Alexa, VA

Alexa is one of our Veterinary Assistants who has been working at Blue Cross since June 2023. While Alexa has been with us since 2023, she has been a Veterinary Assistant elsewhere since July 2021 and is currently enrolled in Penn Foster to get her Veterinary Technician Certification to further her career in veterinary medicine. One of her favorite things about working at Blue Cross is learning something new everyday, seeing all the different personalities of all the cats and dogs, making meaningful and long-lasting relationships with clients and seeing the puppies and kittens grow up each time they come in.

Alexa has a love for cats and dogs with a particular soft spot for beagles and hounds. She also adores rodents and aquatic mammals. She curently has two beagles in her family that are littermates, Tank and Chaka and her sister has 3 guinea pigs. Outside of work, Alexa loves to sight-see and travel, try different foods and restaurants, play recreational softball, go to the Farmer’s Market, spend time with family and friends, and relax with TV shows and movies.
